| 2 m Repeater Fault New Report |
The 2 m repeater PA had developed a problem again on Sunday 7th March 2010. Rod VK2TTL has been up to Lawson to replace another PA and did so on Wednesday 10 th march 2010. There seems to be a problem in the Driver Stage of the PA. Members of our repeater committee are working hard to fix the faulty stage PA stage and we will keep you all posted via our web site. | Licence Upgrades |
Many of you will know that the Education team have been running a Standard / Advanced upgrade course one night per week. An exam was held on Wednesday 24th February. Andrew VK2FACV, Felicity VK2FACW, Richard VK2LET, and Kevin VK2FTTP are waiting for Advanced call signs to come through. Mic VK2FMJB, Tracey VK2FTBH, and Warren VK2FJOY successfully passed the Standard licence exam. Congratulations to the Education team and to the candidates. |

| Planed Repeater Improvements |
The BMARC committee is in the negotiation stages at the momment but the Repeater Committee is propsing to offer more to members and also non-member in the way of more repeater services such as a future linked repeater system. For any news, watch this space... |

| 6m Repeater Restored, but .... |
Yesterday on Sunday 14th February 2010, our 6 m repeater antenna was replaced with a brand new 2 x 5/8 wave co-linear. The old broken antenna was replaced due to wind damage back in September 2009. The cavities were adjusted and this repeater is now working again very well and keyed up in various locations. There is now some intermittent noise in the receiver stage but the repeater is useable. The BMARC repeater committee has some more future work to do on this repeater to isolate the noise. We would welcome anyone that uses this repeater to provide us with some signal reports. VK2HO |

| 2m Repeater Restored |
The P.A. Stage was replaced with a spare about 4 weeks ago. Full power output has now been restored which gives the repeater committee time to repair the faulty unit and keep it now as a hot spare. On the 28th January 2010 again the repeater was down for half a day again, where fatuge on an aged 15 amp fuse failed. The failed fuse was replaced with a new one and the repeater should be running very well now. Our sincere appologies to those users of our club repeater and for the inconvience caused by the down time. VK2HO |
