New work on our VK2RBM Repeater

All our repeaters at Lawson 70 cm, 2m and 6 m are working very well at the moment. The 6 m repeater on 53.875 MHz is up and running but requires an extra cavity filter in band pass mode. There is a bit of noise through the audio path that should be cured with the installation of the 4th cavity filter. I had a spare 75 MHz (4 m) Band Cavity that I was given years ago by and old deceased friend and was collecting dust at home. I donated my old 4 m band cavity to BMARC which I modified into a 50 MHz (6 m) Filter in the way of some internal modifications and an extension which included TIG welding 150 mm round aluminium. Rhod VK2TTL and I will be going up to Lawson to complete the project shortly.

The repeater committee is also busy with upgrading the repeater controllers. Jamie VK2TIM and I are working towards updating equipment the repeater controller facilities. VK2HO
